Cookies for this coming Chinese New Year!!!

Hi everyone! Baba Charlie's house does not only sell traditional Nyonya Kuih. We also sell traditional cookies such as the cookies in the picture above.

Kuih Belanda and Kuih Bangkit

Nuts cookies - The green colour cookies are made from green bean but the brown cookies are made from peanuts.

Pineapple Tarts - Roll Tarts are made from butter but the traditional tarts are made from margarine.

Kuih Karas and Kuih Dahliah

Kuih Koya and Kuih Kok Chai(Peanuts inside)

Kuih Rose and Cornflake cookies

Mini Spring Rolls - Chicken Floss or Prawn Floss

All these cookies are limited stock due to hand made. If need larger amount please contact us at least a week before so we can prepare. There are also cookies that sell in Baba's Charlie house. Everyone is welcome to dropby. Thanks.

Hi,
Was wondering if babacharlie will be open this 1 May 2015 as my family and I will be going for a vacation in Malacca and would love to buy some of the nyonya kuih from baba charlie.

Nyonya Kueh or Straits Chinese Kueh(cakes) are made from a variety of fulsome and flavourful ingredients such as coconut milk, sweet potatoes, tapioca, palm sugar and pandan leaves.Presented together, they make up a colourful, pleasing platter, and thus are among the most popular items to be enjoyed during tea time, as a sweet dessert, and as part of the menu at festive occasions.Traditionally Peranakan girls or Straits Chinese were trained to perfect the art of making nonya kueh — skill in the culinary arts could, along with other skills, lead to a better marriage. Many Nonya or Peranakan still spend time making kueh for their families, as they believe the more effort you put into preparing food for your family, the happier all will be.
